Foreign trade turnover in total and by countries. January – March 2012
In addition to the imports data according to the Country of origin published up to now it is also presented for the first time in this monthly publication the data according to the Country of consignment.
Country of consignment is the Country from which the goods were initially dispatched to Poland, without any halt or legal operation not inherent in their transport having occurred in any intermediate Country.
Country of origin is the Country in which the goods are wholly produced or the last substantial transformation took place.
This new information added to monthly release of “Foreign Trade Turnover in total and according to Countries” will be an integral part of the publication (Annex 1).
From January to March 2012, the export express in current prices equaled 145,4 mrd (American: billion) PLN, and import 157,4 mrd PLN.

Index numbers of industrial and construction-assembly productionin in March 2012
According to the preliminary data sold production of industry in constant prices (in enterprises employing more than 9 persons) in March of 2012 was by 0.7% higher than in the previous year (when a growth by 6.8% was recorded and in March 2010 – an increase by 12.5%) and by 10.7% higher than in February of 2012.

Housing construction in I-III 2012
According to preliminary data, in the period of January-March of 2012 36272 dwellings were completed, i.e. by 31.9% more than in 2011, and by 6.5% more in comparison with the corresponding period of 2010 (against a decrease in those years, respectively by 19.2% and by 18.0%).

Price indices of sold production of industry and construction and assembly production in March 2012
According to preliminary data, the prices of sold production of industry in March 2012 were by 0.1% higher than in the previous month. The increase of prices was recorded in section water supply; sewerage, waste management and remediation activities (by 0.5%). Prices in manufacturing grew by 0.2%, of which in manufacture of coke and refined petroleum products (by 1.7%).

In the 4th quarter of 2011 seasonally adjusted GDP (constant prices, reference year 2005) was higher by 1.1 % than in the previous quarter and 4.3 % higher than in 4th quarter of the previous year.
